Anton's Visit to MAD Magazine!

As a child growing up in South Africa, Anton learned about American popular culture through MAD Magazine. Some neighbors had a subscription, and he'd love visiting so that he could read the latest issue. Over the years he's remained a fan of the magazine, which just celebrated its 50th Anniversary.

After a recent gig at Madiba Shebeen, Anton was informed that he'd finally "made it." One of his buddies had seen the 50th Anniversary issue of MAD and told Anton that he'd been drawn in a cartoon spoof of The Late Show with David Letterman.

Anton had inquired about obtaining the original artwork from MAD as a souvenir. A few email messages later, the lovely editor of MAD, Amy Vozeolas, invited Anton to the MAD offices for a tour! We've documented the occasion below, hope you enjoy the photos as much as Anton enjoyed visiting MAD!
