Hey! Living in Boston, did you ever march in the Boston Crusaders drum and bugle corp?

If you ever have the opportunity, you should check out a drum and bugle corps show. Cadets of Bergen County (Bergen county, New Jersey) are excellent. One of the best in the world. Also, Boston Crusaders are always exceptional.

Check out www.dci.org for further information. It's very very entertaining, and the musicians are incredible. Of course, I'm a bit biased seeing that I am a 7 year alum from drum and bugle corp.

Thanks again!! I enjoy the D.L. show, too.

Kari

thanks - Al Chez, the trumpet player in the CBS Orchestra, is really into the drum & bugle corps and keeps me somewhat updated. I saw Blast and was very impressed with the snare drum techniques. Are they using different rudiments now from the standard ones?

yes anton very much so, I have marched drum corps for three years now, and have learned a lot of new rudiments developed specifically for marching percussion. I am now in the process of transferring that to my drum set playing. check out thedrumclub.com. most of these im sure you know, but a lot of them are hybrids of previous rudiments.
