I sometimes use a 16 in and or a 14 in and the problem occurs with both. The problem is every time i kick the kick drum it causes a ring on the floor tom and the mic picks it up. I have tried every thing from using a noise gate to putting small dish rags on it but nothing works. The noise gate will not cut it out enough and the dish rag takes away from the great big warm sound. any ideas? Thank you.
